The Website is operated by The Forth Valley League, a charity registered in Scotland (SC 038190) with registered office at 102 Carnethie Street Rosewell Midlothian EH24 9AL. The term “us”, “we” and “our” there after refers to Forth Valley League.

As user of the website (referred to as “you/your”) you acknowledge that any use of this website  is subject to this Privacy Policy.

The purpose of this statement is to set out the purposes for which, and the manner in which, we may collect and use personal information that we may obtain about you. There is no registration on the website so the only data collected is that from enquiry on contact page which includes name, email address and message.

We do not knowingly collect data from any unsupervised person under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, you must not submit any personal data to us unless you have the consent of, and are supervised by, a parent or guardian.

Use of your Personal Information

  1. Records and results are stored on the public domain but these contain limited information. Name, Club, Event, Performance. No reference to personal address of contact details are published.

How long do we keep your data

We keep data from a contact form only as long as required then deleted. These emails are not stored on the website database.

We DO NOT give any of your data to any third party.

Handling of your data

At this point only ONE person has access to manage data via the email contact.

The website is kept secure and updates are regularly applied to ensure it has current safeguarding features.

Results Service and Publication

We compile results from each match per division and upload to the website. We also share the link to these on our social media namely facebook page and twitter feed. Even though shared and can be shared by others, full control of this information is held by Forth Valley League. An example of this is an amended result automatically changed shared results. The information we publish include position, name, club and performance. If a record is broken that is recorded in the same manner. We do not publish personal details like Scottish Athletics Registration numbers or personal details of athletes. These results then get submitted to Power of 10. They have their own privacy policies of which is accessible at the footer of their web pages. Part of registration of teams process from each club is their responsibility to ensure that all athletes are eligible to compete and that they have their own policies in place to let them know that by entering, their basic information will be used to compile results.

Photographs

Photographs are taken at each match and are used to act as momentos of the day and to use in publicity including clubs who have their own photo policy and privacy statements. They are used by the league on the league facebook page this website forthvalleyleague.org.uk as well as on athleticsdigital.com, an external site of our officially accredited photographers. Any photos after the event that are asked to be removed will be done. Clubs are aware of photography taking place as well and guest photographers who sign our permission forms must adhere to our photo policy with any photographer not complying resulting in appropriate action taken. photographers who represent other clubs must have permission from their club and the league and failure to do so could result in action taken against the individual and the club could be penalised.
